Product Description

• Active Ingredient: Granisetron, which belongs to a class of medicines called 5-HT3 receptor antagonists, or serotonin blockers.
• Mechanism of Action: It works by blocking the action of serotonin, a natural chemical messenger in the body and brain that triggers nausea and vomiting, particularly when the gastrointestinal tract is affected by cancer treatment.
• Administration: It is administered as an injection into a vein (intravenously) by a healthcare professional, such as a doctor or nurse; it should not be self-administered.
• Usage: It is typically given before the start of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or surgery to prevent symptoms from developing.
• Form: Granisetron is also available in tablet, oral solution, and transdermal patch forms, which a doctor may prescribe after the initial injections. 

• Headache
• Constipation
• Diarrhea
• Weakness or unusual tiredness
• Pain, redness, or swelling at the injection site
• Difficulty sleeping (insomnia) 

• Heart Problems: Use with caution if you have heart rhythm disorders (e.g., prolonged QT interval) or a history of heart disease, as it may affect heart rhythm.
• Bowel Issues: Inform your doctor if you have a blockage in your stomach or intestines, as the medication could mask symptoms.
• Drug Interactions: Tell your doctor about all medications you are using, especially those for epilepsy, heart problems, depression (such as SSRIs and SNRIs), or certain antibiotics, as interactions could lead to a serious condition called serotonin syndrome.
• Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding, as the safety data is limited.
