Glenza 160 mg is prescribed to manage adult men with specific types of prostate cancer:
- Metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC): Cancer that has spread to other body parts and continues to progress despite treatments to lower testosterone levels.
- Non-metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (nmCRPC): Cancer that has not yet spread but is no longer responding to hormone-lowering treatments.
- Metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer: Used in combination with androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) when the cancer has spread but still responds to hormone treatment.
In some cases, a doctor might prescribe enzalutamide for "off-label" uses such as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) or excessive hair growth (hirsutism) in women, but this is under strict medical supervision.
