• Mechanism of Action: Most prostate cancers need male hormones (androgens) like testosterone to grow. Enzalutamide works by blocking the androgen receptors on prostate cancer cells, which prevents the hormones from binding and thus slows the cancer's growth or causes the cells to die. 

• Metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC): Cancer that has spread to other body parts and continues to progress despite treatments to lower testosterone levels.
• Non-metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (nmCRPC): Cancer that has not yet spread but is no longer responding to hormone-lowering treatments.
• Metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer: Used in combination with androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) when the cancer has spread but still responds to hormone treatment.
