Product Description

• Active Ingredient: Abiraterone acetate 250 mg.
• Therapeutic Class: Androgen biosynthesis inhibitor (a type of hormone therapy, not chemotherapy).
• Uses: Treatment of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer and high-risk castration-sensitive prostate cancer in adult men, always in combination with a corticosteroid like prednisone or prednisolone to manage side effects.
• Action: It inhibits the CYP17 enzyme, which is necessary for the body to produce testosterone in the testes, adrenal glands, and prostate tumor tissue. 

• Empty Stomach: The tablet must be taken on an empty stomach.
  • Do not eat any food for at least two hours before taking the medication.
  • Do not eat for at least one hour after taking the medication.
• Dosage: It is typically taken as a single dose once daily, as prescribed by a doctor.
• Swallow Whole: Tablets should be swallowed whole with water; do not crush, chew, or break them.
• Monitoring: Regular monitoring of liver function, blood pressure, and potassium levels is essential during treatment.
