Product Description

• Active Ingredient: Pantoprazole sodium, which belongs to a class of drugs called proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).
• Mechanism of Action: It works by blocking the "proton pumps" in the stomach wall, which are responsible for the final step in stomach acid production, thereby decreasing the amount of acid.
• Uses:
  • Treating erosive esophagitis (damage to the esophagus from stomach acid).
  • Managing gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
  • Healing stomach and duodenal ulcers.
  • Treating Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and other conditions involving excessive stomach acid production.
  • Preventing stomach ulcers caused by the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) in high-risk patients.
