Uses
Renocrit 4000 IU Injection is prescribed for the treatment of anemia associated with the following conditions:
Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD): In both adults and children, including those on dialysis.
Cancer Chemotherapy: To reduce the need for blood transfusions in patients with certain types of cancer.
HIV Infection Treatment: For patients receiving zidovudine (AZT), which can suppress bone marrow function.
Major Surgery: Sometimes used before major elective surgeries (like orthopedic procedures) in high-risk patients to reduce the need for blood transfusions.
