Product Description

• Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD): For both patients on dialysis and those not on dialysis, where the damaged kidneys fail to produce sufficient natural erythropoietin.
• Chemotherapy-induced Anaemia: For patients receiving chemotherapy for certain types of cancer (except cancer of the bone marrow or blood cells). 

• Zynesp 200 mcg must be administered by a healthcare professional, such as a doctor or nurse, either under the skin (subcutaneous injection) or into a vein (intravenous injection).
• It should not be self-administered unless a healthcare provider has provided specific training.
• The dosage and frequency of the injection are determined by the doctor based on the patient's condition, age, and body weight. 

• Monitoring: Regular monitoring of blood pressure and hemoglobin levels is crucial during treatment.
• High Blood Pressure: The medication can cause high blood pressure, especially in patients with chronic kidney disease. Severe headaches, vision problems, nausea, vomiting, or seizures should be reported to a doctor immediately as they can be signs of dangerously high blood pressure.
• Serious Risks: The injection may increase the risk of serious heart problems (including heart attack), stroke, and blood clots. In some cases, it may shorten the survival time in people with certain types of cancer.
• Contraindications: It should not be used if you have uncontrolled high blood pressure or a history of pure red cell aplasia (a type of severe anaemia) caused by other erythropoiesis-stimulating agents.
