Nuace Tablet is a combination of antiretrovirals medicines. It is prescribedto treat HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) infection. It boosts up the immunity to fight against HIV to manage or treat AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome).
- Darunaviris an HIV-1 protease inhibitor that works by selectively binding to the active site of the HIV-1 protease enzyme. This action inhibits the enzyme's ability to cleave large viral proteins into functional components, resulting in the production of immature, non-infectious viral particles and preventing HIV replication.
- Ritonaviris primarily used as apharmacokinetic enhancer(or "booster"), rather than for its own direct antiviral effects. It inhibits the liver enzyme cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4), which is responsible for metabolizing darunavir. This inhibition limits the breakdown of darunavir, leading to higher and more sustained concentrations of darunavir in the blood, thereby increasing its effectiveness.
